This is England

Am I the only person in the country who wasn't very impressed with this film? I thought it was all a bit 'I've just graduated with a degree in film-making and here's my first film, it's really gritty'.

I thought 'Dead Man's Shoes' - http://www.godwillforgivethem.com/ was superb and 'A Room for Romeo Brass' - http://www.britfilms.tv/index.php?id=3244 was quite good too but 'This is England' was cliched and obvious and the bit where the wee guy snogs that older girl was just downright wrong.

    eh?

Got to say, I loved This Is England. Seen the premiere at the Glasgow film festival this year and was blown away. Romeo Brass I thought was OK. Get yer hands on Twenty Four Seven. Bob Hoskins is bloody marvellous in it.

Oops, I meant 'Dead Mans's Shoes'. If you've not seen it, I would recommend it.

I think I am the only person in the country who didn't like 'This is England'. I am trying to find one more. That person's not you, not this time.

Ah know. Let's start a gang. We'll build a den. I get to pick what movies we watch though, right?
