Barcelona
Me and Brian went on holiday for a week to a small place called Cap Salou, just next to Salou. Cap Salou appears to be a favourite holiday resort for over 65's so we went to Barcelona for 4 days as it's only about an hours drive from Cap Salou. We stayed right in the heart of the city, just next to Las Ramblas so there was loads to do, and the beach was 5 minutes away. On our first day in Barcelona, we went down to the beach and seen this filth:
There are plenty of decent places to get a drink in Barca. This mojito definitely deserves a mention. I know it looks like it has spaghetti hoops in it (that's ice) but it looked the part on the night, and most defintely tasted the part. It was zingy.
On our last day, we visited the Sagrada Familia http://www.sagradafamilia.org/, I kind of felt obliged to more than anything else and it was rather boring really but the view from the top is spectacular. It's so high, I felt dizzy.
To recap, don't ever, ever go to Cap Salou and do go to Barcelona.

It looks lovely, except once I had a nightmare where I was flying about inside the high high spires in the Sagrada Familia, and now I don't ever want to go there. In case it happens.

at my birthday drinks thing at Big Slope this year I'm pleased to say I drank the place dry of mojitos !

God it does look like it has spaghetti hoops - think that would put me off it. The rest looks nice though. Hope ya had a good un.
